Welcome to the Pension Wieser.

We look forward to welcoming you as our guest! You will certainly feel at home in our cozy guesthouse. We offer you a family atmosphere and will of course take care of your needs professionally. Our rooms and apartments are lovingly yet functionally furnished to ensure that your stay is truly relaxing. Every morning we await you with a tasty breakfast personally created by the head of the house, vegetarian or vegan on request.

Preserving our unique natural environment is worth more to us than just a few fine words. We focus on action and have made our hotel a little more sustainable. Since summer 2021, we have been able to supply our guests with our own electricity and hot water thanks to the new photovoltaic system on the roof. Traveling with an electric car? No problem, we have our own charging station.

We will be happy to give you tips and recommendations for sights, restaurants, cafés, leisure and shopping facilities in the area. Please do not hesitate to ask us any questions you may have. If possible, we will be happy to fulfill your wishes.

Family business in the second generation

About us

Our hotel has been welcoming guests from all over the world for 60 years now. Some have become regular guests and friends over the years. Hospitality connects generations. Robert and Inge are the second generation to run our hotel. Their two children Irina and Janis, who are now grown up, and grandma Gerlinde, the senior manager, are also on hand to give us a helping hand when things get busy. Two particularly cuddly cats also live in our home. In this respect, we not only attach great importance to hospitality, but also to animal welfare.

 
 
 
 

Infrastructure around Golling

In Golling you will find everything for your daily needs in the immediate vicinity. There is a gas station right at the entrance to the highway, a grocery store (Spar) is 5 minutes away from our house.

There is another supermarket (MPreis) directly opposite the train station, and other grocery stores are also in the immediate vicinity. Many inviting small stores, a pharmacy, bank and numerous inns and restaurants can be found in the center of Golling, the so-called "market", where people like to meet for a little chat along the lively little main street. Particularly noteworthy is the gourmet restaurant and the gourmet worlds of award-winning chef Andreas Döllerer.

Public transportation 

The protection of our beautiful nature is a matter close to our hearts. That's why we recommend that you use the well-developed public transport network whenever possible. This way you are guaranteed to reach your favorite places without traffic jams or stress.

The Tennengau ticket offers our guests the opportunity to use public transportation free of charge. Trains from Golling-Abtenau train station (8 minutes' walk from Pension Wieser) run every 15-30 minutes to Salzburg City and Bischofshofen.

Alternatively, take bus no. 170 to Hallein and continue via Rif and Niederalm directly to Salzburg's old town (or on to the main train station). Bus no. 470 takes you via Abtenau, Voglau and Russbach to picturesque Gosau.

Book your walk with the alpacas now. In the footsteps of Gustav Klimt, the children walk with the alpacas from the tourist office through Marktstraße and along the artist's traces to the Klimt fountain. You will learn interesting facts about Klimt's work and explore the place where he created his first square landscape painting - the Egelsee in Golling.

Big band sound at Golling CastleThe motto of the 2025 Salzburg Festival is "I am born into death", inspired by Samuel Beckett's "Endgame".


The music theater program is characterized by power plays and endings, with a baroque opera marking both the beginning and the end. In addition, the Salzburg Festival Whitsun 2025 program will celebrate Venice's musical diversity with the theme "Sounds of the Serenissima".
